The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) is one of the oldest drama schools in the United Kingdom and is considered a centre of excellence in performance training across the world. The LAMDA Drama examinations are designed to develop confidence and self belief in addition to a deeper understanding of literature and the spoken word. LAMDA speech and drama examinations can be taught to students as young as 5. There is no upper age limit. Examinations are offered in solo acting, verse and prose, devised theatre, Shakespeare and communication skills. I have been training pupils for private drama examinations for over seven years and all are trained to an exceptional standard. My pass rate is 100%. The higher level examinations carry UCAS points which can be used to assist securing a place for your child at college. Peter Symonds, for example, now recognises the LAMDA grade 6 (bronze medal) as part of their entry requirements for certain courses.
